This vessel explores the tension between raw clay and glazed surface. Areas of exposed earth remain uncoated, allowing the natural texture and color of the material to contrast with the glossy, fired glaze. This interplay reveals both the elemental nature of the clay and the transformative potential of the kiln.

Winter Woods glaze features a soft, creamy foundation embedded with brown crystals. During firing, the crystals melt and flow, forming organic speckles and earthy tones reminiscent of bark, soil, and the quiet texture of a forest in winter.

The cup is handbuilt (without an electric potters wheel) which makes every piece exceptionally unique.
